2. Mandarin Matrix Online Classroom: (Please read online books and do practice & test at home)
- We will have Two Chinese tests on this Thursday (1. YCT test 04/05/2018) and Friday (2. Mandarin Matrix Reading and Writing test 04/06/2018).
- The Thursday's test questions will be on YCT (Youth Chinese Test) Level one vocabulary words (For listening part and reading part): The YCT is an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency. It assesses young students' abilities to use Chinese in their daily and academic lives. The YCT level one test consists of a listening and reading test.
- The Friday's test is Mandarin Matrix Reading and Writing test. There are four parts in the MM test: 1. Vocabulary Picture Matching = 2 points each (12). 2. Picture and sentence Matching= 7 points each (28). 3. Fill-In the Blank Box = 5 points each (45). 4. Reading Comprehension = 12.5 points each (25).

- This week we had the first Mandarin Matrix Reading and Writing test. There are four parts in the test: 1. Vocabulary Picture Matching. 2. Picture Q and A Sentence Matching. 3. Fill-In the Blank Box. 4. Reading Comprehension. Our students are doing well on the first to third parts. We will work more on the last part reading comprehension in the following weeks.

Monday (04/02) :

The Life cycle of a Butterfly:
- 1.卵 Egg
- 2. 幼虫 Caterpillar (Larva) (一般的蝴蝶在幼虫阶段都会脱皮4-6次。而且每次脱皮它们都会把旧皮吃掉。)
- 化蛹 Pupation (终龄的幼虫会停止进食,不断左右吐丝,形成前蛹。)
- 3. 蛹 Chrysalis (Pupa) (蝴蝶的蛹分为悬蛹和缢蛹。蛹的第四至到第六腹节都能够活动。约10天后,成虫的器官会在蛹内发育完成。)
- 羽化 Emergence (成虫的器官发育完成后,蛹的外壁会呈半透明。开始羽化时,蛹壳头部和胸背呈十字形裂开,先露出头部,前足伸出,将翅膀和后腹拉出蛹外。)
- 4. 成蟲 Butterfly (Adult) (羽化后的成虫,是我们熟悉的蝴蝶。身体可分为头部,胸部及腹部三部分。头部具有触角,复眼,和虹吸式吸管。)
