- Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
- An open number line can be used to show counting by tens and ones.

- Lesson 7-3 count on a number chart to 120.
- Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
- Counting and place-value patterns can be seen on a number chart.
Wednesday (01/24):
- We checked math homework.
- Reinforce borrowing (regrouping).
Thursday (01/25):
- Lesson 7-6 count and write numerals.
- Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
- Write numerals to show how many objects are in a group.
- The number of objects in a group is determined by the last number said when they are counted. A written numeral represents the number of objects by tens and then ones can help you count objects faster than counting by just ones.

- Teacher: Is picture (1) correct?
- Students: Yes. it is correct.
- Teacher: Are you sure the picture (1) is correct?
- Students: Yes. it is correct. 50-1=49
- Teacher: teacher cover 0& 1 like picture (2) and ask all students "Is picture (2) correct?"
- Students: No. it is not correct.
- Teacher: teacher ask again "Is picture (1) correct"?
- Students: Yes. it is correct. No. it is not correct. (Students discuss why it is correct and why it is not correct.)
- Teacher: a small number can not subtract a big number. So, 0 cannot subtract 1. We need to borrow 10 from 5 like picture(4). See! Ones: 10-1=9 and Tens: 4-0=4. The picture (4) 50-1=49 is correct.
