- Focus on school tour and first grade rules on the first day of school.

- Vocabulary : numbers(1-3), stand up, sit down, line up, look at the teacher, listen to the teacher, you are so great, No, Yes...
- Students understand how to respectfully greet teacher: Students said 黄老师你好(Hello Mr. Huang.) and 黄老师再见 (Good bye Mr. Hunag.) to teacher in Chinese。
Wednesday (08/23):
- 你好歌(Hello song).
- Numbers (1-5).
- Singing & chant (1-5).
- First grade rules.
Thursday (08/24):
- 你好歌(Hello song).
- Singing & chant (1-5).
- Number game: two students work together. One student use finger to show the number (1-5) and the partner need to say the number in Chinese.
- First grade rules:
- 1. Students need to sit still on the carpet when teacher counts down from 10 to 1. I am so proud of our students. They are doing very good job to flow my direction.
- 2. Students need to put their stationery into their box when they finish works.
- 3. Eyes on teacher. Listen to teacher. Mouth closed.
- When students follow teacher direction they can move their clips up on a behavior chart. When a student's clip is on the purple he/she will get a candy.
Friday (08/25):
Math:
Tuesday (08/22):
- Focus on school tour and first grade rules on the first day of school.
- Count from 1 to 3.
Wednesday (08/23):
- Count from 1 to 5.
Thursday (08/24):
- Write 1 to 5. (number 1 looks like a pencil. number 2 looks like a duck. number 3 looks like a butterfly. number 4 looks likes a sailboat. number 5 likes like a hook.)
Friday (08/25):
- Write 1 to 5.
- Practice Addition. (Use fingers to add numbers together.)
Science/Social Studies (Interconnections):

- Focus on school tour and first grade rules on the first day of school.
Wednesday (08/23):
- First grade rules (reinforce classroom's rules).
- Line up (be quiet).
- We eat lunch in class on Wednesday.
- Music. All first grade students went to music class together on Wednesday.
