2. Mandarin Matrix Online Classroom: (Please read online books and do practice & test at home)
- We will have Two Chinese tests on this Thursday (1. YCT # 13 test 05/10/2018) and Friday (2. Mandarin Matrix Reading and Writing #6 test 05/11/2018).
- The Thursday's test questions will be on YCT (Youth Chinese Test) Level one vocabulary words (For listening part and reading part): The YCT is an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency. It assesses young students' abilities to use Chinese in their daily and academic lives. The YCT level one test consists of a listening and reading test.
- The Friday's test is Mandarin Matrix Reading and Writing test. There are four parts in the MM test: 1. Vocabulary Picture Matching = 2 points each (12). 2. Picture and sentence Matching= 7 points each (28). 3. Fill-In the Blank Box = 5 points each (45). 4. Reading Comprehension = 12.5 points each (25).

- Partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters, and use the phrases half of, fourth of, and quarter of. Describe the whole as two of, or four of the shares. Understand for these examples that partitioning into more equal shares creates smaller shares.

- A shape can be divided into equal-sized shares in different ways.
