- 1. We will have Two Chinese tests on this Thursday and Friday (02/22 & 02/23). The tests questions will be on YCT (Youth Chinese Test) Level one vocabulary words (For listening part and reading part): The YCT is an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency. It assesses young students' abilities to use Chinese in their daily and academic lives. The YCT level one test consists of a listening and reading test.

- Computer game: Students need to get 100% on the matching computer game. (Practice for YCT reading test.). The listening scores are pretty good. We will work more on reading part.
- A Big Wind Blows (game): A Big Wind Blows is a noncompetitive substitute for the game of musical chairs. A student said "大风吹-A Big Wind Blows" and other students need to response "吹什么-Blow for what?". The student may says a sentence like "A cold wind blows for anyone in first grade" then everyone in first grade need to switch the chairs.
- Rhythmic Reading: We check answer on reading. We use "rap" to read out loud. (See video below.)

- The numbers from 11 to 19 are composed of a ten and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
