- 1. We will have ONE Chinese test on this Thursday (YCT test 03/15/2018). The Thursday's test questions will be on YCT (Youth Chinese Test) Level one vocabulary words (For listening part and reading part): The YCT is an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency. It assesses young students' abilities to use Chinese in their daily and academic lives. The YCT level one test consists of a listening and reading test.

- Calendar time: Students said and wrote today, tomorrow, and yesterday.
- Mandarin Matrix worksheet(G1-Unit 1): We did the pages 11 to 12 in morning class.
- Use unit 1 vocabulary to make sentences: 我(I),你(you),好(good),们(plural marker for pronouns),可以(yes/can). A student throw a dice and then all students use the vocabulary to make sentences on their small whiteboard. (See pictures below.)
- Think, pair, & share: Teacher shows pictures for students. First, students think. Second, students talk to parent. Third, students share the answer to whole class.
- Flash cards reading. Students read 2 flash cards and throw a dice and then write the number down on a worksheets. Students will be able to read 14 flash cards and get 7 numbers. Students need to add 7 numbers together. 1. Read two sentences 2. Throw a dice 3. Write the number on their worksheet 4. Go to next table 5. When students finish seven tables and then add all numbers together. (See videos below.)

- 2. 幼虫 Caterpillar (Larva) (一般的蝴蝶在幼虫阶段都会脱皮4-6次。而且每次脱皮它们都会把旧皮吃掉。)
- 化蛹 Pupation (终龄的幼虫会停止进食,不断左右吐丝,形成前蛹。)
- 3. 蛹 Chrysalis (Pupa) (蝴蝶的蛹分为悬蛹和缢蛹。蛹的第四至到第六腹节都能够活动。约10天后,成虫的器官会在蛹内发育完成。)
